Arrange a callFeeling good. Functioning well. Living in harmony with others.
It’s something we all strive to do. You want nothing less for your child.
However, life isn't this straight forward. It constantly tests you and will throw you off course from time to time. When this happens to your child it will have an impact on each family member.
When your child’s wellbeing is out of balance
There are three elements of wellbeing:
!
Emotional
!
Mental
!
Physical
If one of these elements isn’t functioning effectively it will affect the other two, and your child’s ability to function on a day-to-day basis will be compromised.
A private session is tailored to your child’s needs
For example: We may explore emotions, discover what they are and most importantly, why we have them.
We build trust and establish a connection to help your child address their personal challenges. We will help your child learn to recognise how emotions have a physical effect on their body, so they can deal with their feelings appropriately. Especially when they are angry, frustrated, overwhelmed, anxious, lack confidence or self-esteem.
What happens in a private session?
Private sessions are a safe place, where everyone’s voice is heard without judgement. We will facilitate you (as your child’s champion, coach, mentor, and guide) and your child through fun exercises and activities, whilst working on specific areas of concern.
Our aim is to improve your family’s day-to-day dynamics by helping you understand how the change of mindset, as well as understanding the world of wellbeing, can be hugely beneficial for all involved.
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I tell if my child is struggling with their wellbeing?
Often children will initially show signs of poor wellbeing through their behaviour. Children find it hard to explain how they feel but know they are not comfortable so will communicate this through behaviour that challenges. They may develop personality changes, mood swings or a reluctance to attend school. They may withdraw from clubs and friends and have little or no thought for themselves or others.
What is the difference between the workshop and private session?
Workshops are great and provide an insight of the subject matter.
A private one to one session is personal and designed for YOUR child’s individual needs.
Do parents need to be present at the session?
For children aged 4 – 12, parents should be present throughout the session. Understanding wellbeing, especially emotions, and how we act to them is complex and children are likely to need help to understand how uncomfortable emotions affect them.
Teenagers can attend sessions without adult support.
How many sessions do I need?
Sessions can be booked weekly, bi-weekly, every three weeks, monthly or ad hoc.
Each session will be beneficial. The more sessions you have the greater the benefit.
What if I can’t attend the session?
We understand that you may need to change your appointment. If you do, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Any cancellation within the 48-hour notice period will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50%. Any missed appointment, without any notice of cancellation will be charged at the full rate for the session.
Can I bring more than one child to the session.
Yes you can. However, as the process unfolds you will gain more from bringing one child at a time as each child will have unique challenges to overcome.
